Butcher the MuVo!
March 11, 2004

Wired.com have an interesting story about the hacking of Creative Technology's MuVo2 MP3 player. Apparently the MuVo2 contains a 4Gb Hitachi MicroDrive, which I found here for around £320.99. The MuVo2 only costs £224.49 from Amazon, so how much markup are Hitachi making on the stand-alone drive?!

Therefore photographers have been buying the MuVo2 and removing the MicroDrive to use in their digital cameras. Not surprisingly the MuVo2 is said to be in short supply at the moment... OK if you know your camera will support a 4GB drive... Better check Steve's Digicam's to be on the safe side. Then see if you can lay your hands on a MuVo!!!
