The Dale Chihuly Glass installation at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew runs from May 28th until 15th January 2006 - Perfect for that heatwave the meteorologists have been threatening us with then!
It is the first Chihuly exhibition to be presented in a UK botanical garden.

Gardens of Glass: Chihuly at Kew will present visitors with a series of installations set within the historic garden landscape and great glasshouses and specifically designed to respond to the living collections, listed architecture, and Georgian vistas of Kew.

The Sun at Kew Gardens, which was installed at Kew in February for the Orchid Festival, is on view and will remain through the exhibition.

For photos, video and essays concerning past Chihuly exhibitions in garden settings, visit the Gardens and Glass section. Additional upcoming European Chihuly exhibitions are on at Marlborough Fine Art in London from June 28 through July 30, and one at Marlborough Monaco from September 11 through November 11.

Interesting article on Japanese Indie music buying by Derek from CD Baby and fantastic pictures of a derelict theme park, also in Japan, coincidentally, via City Of Sound.

Just cancel those little pop ups asking if you want to install the Japanese character set. And on the subject of rollercoasters. There are some satellite photos of a Pennsylvanian amusement park at Google Sightseeing, via Things.
