I'm sure this is genuine but why waste 500 hours of your life to do this when you can scan the picture in and get the same effect? Bonkers! This was apparently painted in MS Paint, by Diamonster - pixel by pixel - The two characters on the little jetty, bottom left, certainly suggest it was. I'm a bit dubious about the sky though.
