Went to the Frida Kahlo exhibit at Tate Modern on Friday too, expecting all those images you see in every article on Kahlo and pleasantly surprised by the ones I have never seen before. Self-Portrait in a Velvet Dress [Left] is amazing - The eyes!

After the events of the past week or so its good to enjoy a hot weekend in London - Made special by two free events in Lambeth.

Firstly the Urban Art event in Josphine Avenue, SW2. It's a treat to have an event like this on your doorstep.
It was my first visit to this independent art fair but one I look forward to attending next summer.

picThe second was the Lambeth Country Fair - London - There can't be many parts of this country that you can stand on an approximation of an English village green listening to cider fuelled traditional English folk music struggling to be heard over dub reggae alongside the aroma of jerk chicken. And that's why I'll never live anywhere else. Unless I make a small fortune and pootle off to a Greek island one day!

picAnd to end a perfect weekend, the sun going down on the South Circular shouldn't look this good!
