What A Great Summer That Was!
May 22, 2006

I've, at last, got round to uploading the final shots from our few days in Cornwall, most of which is well documented on flickr, so I won't go into it all again here. Apart, that is, to mention a few links of note. Enjoyed the few Ellsworth Kelly canvases in the Tate, which they wouldn't let me photograph... Why? In case I had the prints blown up, printed on canvas and passed off as originals? The Serpentine show was far superior and I didn't bother taking my camera yesterday as it was tipping down all day.

Anyway, Seb West's little gallery is worth a visit if you are ever in St. Ives. The Leach Pottery Restoration Project could benefit from the odd spare quid or so and The Alba restaurant is also worth a visit and epitomises how much St. Ives has changed since I last visited... As did the very few Cornish accents I heard.

Most of the shots I took are from a coastal walk we did from St. Ives to Zennor... If I had read this amusing piece before we went, I might have had second thoughts. A very accurate description I'd say!

Check out the Rian Johnson, director of the marvellous Brick, piece over at the BBC.

Right, hopefully that's me back up to date and in a position to do something creative for a bit - If I can get rid of this bloody cold.
