Beardy-ness
February 21, 2007

The Ginger DJ sent me a link to this Beardyman clip last week. I've since found there is a Beardyman MySpace page too [no surprise there I suppose], not to mention his own site. Beardyman.co.uk is a nice bit of flash but the navigation could do with a bit of a rethink. Still, the Beardy one is a wonder... take a look.

Finally got our The Rapture tickets from the Post Office this morning... at last. Only a week to go for that one. I'm just amusing myself with a bit of Detroit nostalgia that is Underground Resistance' Riot EP, which I downloaded from e-Music last night. Re-released after 14 years!

Better put another couple of artists up here then [from the London Art Fair list]... Marilène Oliver's deconstruction's of the human form include
a collaboration with cardiac surgeon Francis Wells. They worked together to deconstruct Leonardo da Vinci's famous anatomical drawing, The Great Lady, then reconstructed it as a three dimensional combination of sculpture and MRI scans. Whilst Beverly Fishman's work seems to take the inspiration for her mixed media works from laser copies... The image above, Untitled 23, is silkscreen, silkscreened vinyl and collage on powder-coated metal.
