I Don't Think You're Ready For This Jelly Baby
February 18, 2007

Another two weeks slip by unblogged. I can't even say I've been doing anything that exciting... Just too busy/tired to type anything up.

A few random things to mention then... Marine Boy cropped up at the tangent of a conversation the other day. I was amazed to realise I could still remember the melody to the theme tune. Not sure I can make it to either of the London Performances of Belleville Rendezvous Live, which is a shame. I will be able to get to is Jeppe Hein's installation, The Curve, at the Barbican. The Curve is a kind of rollercoaster that fills the entire 80 metre gallery. When visitors enter the gallery a white PVC ball is launched and rolls, corkscrews and camel backs it's way around the structure. It's there from
9th February - 29th April so I'm sure I'll make it at some point. Oh yeah! it's free too.

So, a couple more artist links before I crawl off to my pit. Got to get up early enough to get down the Post Office and join the queue to see what it is that needed a signature and couldn't be left the other day! Hopefully it's The Rapture tickets that still haven't shown up.

Firstly, Sally Temple's abstracts. Secondly, Mauro Perucchetti. These structures just can't be done any justice by tiny online images. The Jelly Baby, above, is part of this Summer's Wellcome Collection exhibit, opposite Euston Station.

So glad you posted that Belleville Rendezvous Live link. One of my favourite films and its in Brighton as well - gonna combine it with house hunting on the Saturday.
