The Reality Of iTunes
December 31, 2007

According to iTunes, these are the 10 albums I played the most during 2007. Which shows 4 albums I didn't actually include. Underworld and M.I.A made it to my Nearly Rans list but Digitalism and Spirit Catcher sunk without trace. I guess older releases have had more of the year to get a few plays, but just the same you can lose interest in them as soon as something else comes along and the reason I left them out was that the plays dried up pretty quickly.

01. Simian Mobile Disco - ADSR
02. Radiohead - In Rainbows
03. Rufus Wainwright - Release The Stars
04. Justice - Cross
05. Underworld - Oblivion With Bells
06. Kate Nash - Made Of Bricks
07. Patrick Watson - Close To Paradise
08. Spirit Catcher - Night Vision
09. M.I.A - Kala
10. Digitalism - Idealism

The Nearly Rans
December 30, 2007

M.I.A - Kala [Had it's moments but not as immediate as previous album].

Robert Wyatt - Comicopera [I'm working on this one. It requires a lot more brain power than the others].

Underworld - Oblivion With Bells [Much as I love them, overall, this was a disappointment].

White Stripes - Icky Thump [Surprised me initially, as I don't have much time for the White Stripes, but my interest waned quicker than I expected].

PJ Harvey - White Chalk [Couldn't get into it. I prefer Dry and Rid Of Me].

Burial - Burial [I've only played this once and was very impressed. I could have stuck it in at No 10, instead of Kate Nash, but that would be wrong wouldn't it? Slightly more credible maybe. But wrong].

Top 10 Albums 2007
December 10, 2007

I thought I wouldn't be doing this until 2008 but it'll fill a lull in posts during the party season. Also, I doubt I am going to have time to listen to any new albums this year now. I may follow it up with some nearly rans if I get a moment.

01. Radiohead - In Rainbows
02. Simian Mobile Disco - Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release
03. Cobblestone Jazz - 23 Seconds
04. Clare & The Reasons - The Movie
05. Patrick Watson - Close To Paradise
06. Rufus Wainwright - Release The Stars
07. Justice - Cross
08. Rothko - Eleven Stages Of Intervention
09. Grinderman - Grinderman
10. Kate Nash - Made Of Bricks

No... vember!?!
December 02, 2007

Well, November slipped by without a post somehow. It's not as if nothing happened. I just never seemed to be in to post anything! Or if I was I was too busy catching up on sleep. What I did miss, due the tail end of October's bastard cold was Soulwax. I really wanted to go but just wasn't well enough. Had some mad dreams for a few nights when I couldn't sleep... I might pop them up under some November dates and fill a few days in. saves having an empty month in the archives.

I doubt I'll get many posts up in December either. I've got 10 events pencilled in over the first 20 days of December and then Christmas happens. In fact I'm thinking of a re-design of this website for the new year and changing, or doing away with the blog altogether, as I don't envisage having any more time to keep it up to date then either.

Disappointed to find that Google Maps MyLocation feature doesn't work on my K800i. Still got until May to go on my contract until I can get an N95 and defect from 3. But I'm very pleased to say I have finally replaced my dodgy monitor with a nice new 19" model.
