Applying Myself
November 13, 2008

Wow! BrightKite's Guess My Location is pretty accurate. Yards away from my home using Loki. Whereas Fire Eagle have pinpointed me as being near Lambeth Bridge, which I suspect must be where my ISP are based.

I'm getting more into BrightKite now it looks as though there are more folk using it nearby. So I have BrightKite updating Fire Eagle which shows the Google map on BrightKite to be approximately half a mile more accurate then the Yahoo one on Fire Eagle.

I'm thinking out loud here after reading a Chris Brogan post on what BrightKite could be. Better than thinking aloud on his comments page. I'll add any succinct conclusions there, should they dawn on me, at a later date.

I'd like to see BrighKite becoming something akin to Dipity. Some sort of aggregation of my Last.FM plays, Flickr updates, Delicious tags, Tweets etc, but all with geo-location. How that would happen I'm not sure yet but If it could all feed into my Google My Maps that would be sweet.

Anyway, enough of that. Why the long silence you may ask? Well there was that week of flu... followed by a great Underworld show at the Brixton Academy. Our numbers were dwindled by this lurgy though and I really had to go some to make it. But I survived and a week later we were partying in Brighton with Kerry & Rob and assorted ghouls.

Thankfully Trev drove us back the next morning as the thought of the train after passing out on the sofa for a little while reminded me of the long, long journey back from Paul & Sarah's a little while back. Standing all the way back to London with a hangover is not fun. What I remember of the party was good though. Admittedly, this isn't much; Mostly Jake being sick [sorry about that], although even that's vague. A lot of rain, a few fireworks, some sausages and the people and costumes. No idea who played what or when it finished. Maybe I'll remember more of Pom's party this Saturday!?!

Aside from that, it's been study, study study and is only going to be more so until Christmas, so there won't be many updates from me. My Hyperreal And Supercool tracks will be available before Christmas though on iTunes, so I'll be blogging that. And hopefuly a book of digital prints available too, which may or may not be through Borders Online Service.

Well, I'll try to add any other posts, not provided by Zemanta, before long too.
