Open University, Open Studios And Open Wide!
December 12, 2008

Another week nearer to Christmas and OU Report deadline day. I think I've done a larger percentage of my Christmas shopping than the report, but I reckon I have enough days without Festive piss-ups to get it done.

We had a great night out last Friday, meeting up with Cathy and Paul to visit a couple of Open Studio events round Loughborough Junction. Whirled and Clockwork Studios. Whirled I had heard of but never visited and I'm glad I have. It's got a great vibe to it and there were some interesting works there. What impressed us most though was the bar and "cinema" which are open on Friday and Saturday nights.

After that we went to The Cambria. Now there's a pub with a menu I could work my way through.

On Saturday we went to visit Viv and baby Amy. Ah! Bless.

I decided to brave the dentist and get the hole in my tooth that caused "that abscess" looked atin the week. Yikes. I came away with two more appointments booked before Christmas and over £1000 worth of work to be done in the coming year. Niiice!

I'm suffering from the first festive hangover of the season today but hopefully will be fighting fit to pop to Richard Serra at the Gagosian and Rafael Lozano-Hemmer's Frequency and Volume at the Barbican tomorrow morning before knuckling down to more report writing and then a trip to the Railway with Kev, Karol, Pav and Lucy.
